Position Summary
Paying taxes is complicated and if done wrong, our clients could get in a lot of trouble. That’s why the number one goal of our Tax team is to protect our clients and make sure that never happens. We are analytical, meticulous, problem-solving superheroes, ensuring our clients are protected from the complicated issues of non-compliance. And we are looking for more Tax Professionals to join our team.

Essential Functions
- Inform Tax Manager daily of global tax problems.
- Prepare and maintain written procedures for all processes performed by the tax Department.
- Perform tax filing research for the company and its clients.
- Reconcile impound errors from tax service companies.
- Verify daily: required tax payments are made, all clients are in balance using Balancing Report, and clients tax liabilities are paid using the Liabilities Due Report
- Quarterly: Prepare all necessary payroll tax returns (State, Federal and local), File payroll tax returns for all tax service clients.
- Annually Prepare all necessary payroll tax returns (State, Federal and Local),Prepare W-2s for all clients, Prepare 1099s for necessary clients, Prepare 1094C/1095C for necessary clients, W-2 transmittal to SSA for all clients, File payroll tax returns for all Tax service clients, Federal frequency testing for all clients, Update SUI tax rates for all clients.
- Assist coworkers from other departments regarding tax questions.
- Assist in problem-solving in regards to client payroll issues.
- Participate in weekly Tax department meetings.
- Investigate, determine the status and resolve payroll tax related notices from tax authorities.
- Maintain a team orientation in dealing with fellow team members.
- Supports the client satisfaction and production goals of the department by providing quality service
Non-Essential Duties
- Special projects assigned by Executive staff.
- Miscellaneous duties as assigned by management.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Associate Degree or higher in accounting is preferred.
- Excellent oral, written and analytical skills are required.
- Must be able to work under time constrains and meet daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual deadlines.
- Proficiency in Windows PC environment (MS Word, Excel and Power Point).
- Candidate must be organized and able to work in high production atmosphere.
- Quality Service oriented.
Decision-Making Latitude:
- Day to day decisions regarding processing, solving tax filing problems and other related matters that are within the area of responsibilities and are consistent with prevailing department and Company policies.
- Agrees to comply with the confidentiality policy
- Uses independent judgment to provide solid client relationships

- Personal Computer, Internet, Calculator, MS Office (Word, Excel) google applications, Evolution payroll software, Paytrain payroll training software, CRM software, RIA Checkpoint.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Working Conditions
The scheduled workweek is a 5-day workweek - hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Friday with a 30-minute lunch break. Pre-Approved overtime may be required.
