Evolution® - Digital Encryption and Security Info
The basic difference between our technology and other technology is the number of stops the data makes between end user and the service bureau. For example, with FTP technology the data is unprotected when it passes from the remote user to the FTP site, it then has to be sent from the FTP site to the server. FTP sites are not very secure and their passwords are easily broken or hacked.
With Evolution's thin client application only the data is passed, and it is encrypted and compressed at the remote site before being passed over the Internet directly to the Service Bureau Servers (significantly more secure). We use a 256k Blowfish Symmetric encryption key, which has never been broken. This is far more secure and efficient than transferring data to an FTP site, or using a browser-based application. We have written our own communications protocol, which also gives our data transfer procedures more security; it is similar to Cytrix Metaframe technology.
